OOC: Request [Mar. 21st, 2008|11:16 pm]
The Network Beat

Alright, kids. I need something very simple from everyone:

A good day and time frame to roleplay the Defense of Viridian (tm)!

Now, I know there's a lot of you, but I want to try to handle it as quickly and painlessly as possible. For a scene of such pace, I'd heavily prefer to use an MSN format.

That is all!

Final Calendar Note [Mar. 2nd, 2008|02:43 am]
The Network Beat

The plan is that Goldenrod, the last area where the fight between Metatron/ARN and Team Rocket is actually hot, technically should have fallen yesterday to a Metatron victory. However, in order to let everyone have a chance to play a little bit in the Rocket plot, I plan on creating one last battle thread (LJ-style) that takes place either this week or yesterday, depending on the feedback.

Other than that, watch this space for updates from Jer, who is preparing a major plot for us to tie the rest of the story together.

This is it, boys. To arms! [Feb. 5th, 2008|10:33 pm]
The Network Beat

So, we've come to the anniversary of the official opening of the Network. (How many years has it been? Two? Three?) In any case, we're celebrating by...

We're coming to the end of the Rocket plot, and it's all going down in Saffron and Goldenrod, the two biggest cities of the original two generations. The ARN and Metatron is getting into position (having wrestled most of the Kanto and Johto regions from Team Rocket's control by now) to surround the city. After that point, they're headed in. If you're a Rocket, be prepared to migrate to either city for the final attack. If you're an ARN member, be prepared to fight. If you're undecided, now's the time to take up a side.

The battle will last throughout the month of February, so we hope to see you in the middle of the action.

Broadcast from an Unknown Location [Jan. 27th, 2008|01:50 am]
The Network Beat

(The following broadcast aired on networks around the Viridian area)

(The air goes dead for a few seconds before the camera shows a masked Rocket, the infamous Iron Mask Marauder. He stands against a Rocket flag pinned to the wall, and seems as though he's having trouble keeping his cool)

"An announcement to all Rockets--Yes, I know most of you want to kill me. You can't, but that's another issue. But you're letting yourselves get distracted. Those who follow me, same thing. If this keeps up, we'll self destruct."

(He shakes his head and sighs, weary as though he's been awake for several days)

"That's the last thing any of us want. We need to focus on our common enemy, and there's not a single one of us who doesn't know who that is. It's not me, it's not the leader they picked--it's the fucking ARN and all of their types. They're who we're after, who we should be after. And that's an order."

(he turns his attention to something off camera)

"That's enough for now, turn the damn camera o--"

(the image goes dead for several seconds and the previous broadcast continues as normally)

January Calendar (+ Plans) [Jan. 6th, 2008|09:37 pm]
The Network Beat

Okay, so with the leader of the Rockets dead, I figured I'd better go ahead and use it to bring about the climax I'd planned (and, I believe, mentioned) earlier for the Rocket plot. To do so, basically all that's happening this month are, in no particular order:

1. Shaken by the news that the foundations (read: leader) of Team Rocket has crumbled (kinda literally), the Rockets in Hoenn let down their guard enough to allow civilians and the League to take back control throughout the month. By February, the smaller towns and cities (Dewford, Fallarbor, Verdanturf, and Pacifidlog) manage to break away from Rocket control.

2. Likewise, Metatron and League forces drive out the remaining Rockets in Sinnoh, who flee towards Kanto under the impression that the region is still largely Rocket-controlled.

3. In preparation for the coming months, Metatron and ARN forces attempt to take Cianwood and Olivine. Because of in-fighting between Giovanni loyalists and Rockets siding with the new order, this is fairly easy. (As a note, but from what I can tell, this will need further discussion before it can be official, as do the plans for February.)

4. One of the last two cities under siege of Rocket forces, Indigo, eventually falls to trainers in the mountains who have caught word about the efforts in Sinnoh and Hoenn. (Ditto to this.)

5. The Orange Islands remains largely a Rocket territory, although the primary detention center experiences a revolt that destroys it from the inside out.

6. Sometime during the month, the ARN begins to launch an attack on Saffron and slowly win back the city. ...And everyone will get ice cream at Silph Co. You can tell this one was submitted by Sean.

So! I realised we've been playing this game for ages and some of us hardly know each other! So I've decided to do something about that with a friendly questionare.

-What brought you to the Network?
-What's your favorite pokemon?
-Why did you choose the character you play? If you play an original, how did you come up with them?
-If you could give your character any new pokemon, what would it be?

Article from Viridian [Dec. 29th, 2007|10:17 pm]
The Network Beat

Police have identified the elderly woman killed leaving the Viridian Symphony Tuesday night as 71-year-old Lucrezia Razzo, a socialite and mother of confessed Rocket leader Giovanni Razzo. Police are treating it as a random act, since all witnesses describe the crime as a purse snatching gone wrong.

Mr. Razzo has not issued a statement.

Taking a break. [Dec. 29th, 2007|01:36 am]
The Network Beat

To be honest, I haven't been able to get into my "Erika" mood since Irene got super busy, and decided to put her RPing as Lucian on hold. I've been finding it tougher to get into that "Erika" mood, and I feel I need to take a break for a while. I don't know how long, but I think I need to "miss" being Erika. We all need a break sometimes, right?

Sorry to anyone who was planning on involving Erika in a storyline for the next month or so. I'll be back, just don't know when. Same applies to Anastasia, I just haven't been able to get myself back into that Pokemon groove. I haven't even picked up the game that much this last month, maybe once or twice.

I'll be on MSN if anyone wishes to chat and such.

Later days,
