Hey, guys. Long time, no post. Doing it this way because, as it turns out, I don't have the personal contact information for a lot of you after all. (Unfortunately, some of these are also not members of NBeat, so if you regularly talk to people like surskitty, please point them this way because I'm coming up with dead ends. Thanks.)

Anyway, as some of you might have heard (or noticed), it's been over a year since the Network ended, and I've decided to take parts of it offline. Not all of it, in any case. The following comms will still be up:

nbeat
unionroom
pkmn_network

This also means that the following will be taken down:

narchive
nscene
nrpg

But don't worry! We're not just going to take them down without any chance to get your logs and character applications! At the moment, Dani/lineaalba and I are working on getting together a massive offline archive -- a compressed file containing all of the material on the comms that will be dropped. (If you'd like data from one of the comms that will still exist, please make a side request for it, and we'll be happy to add it in for you.) Anyone who wants one will only need to leave a comment or contact either of us with your e-mail address, and it will be sent directly to your inbox. Even if you're a month late or so or change your mind and want it at a later date, we'll still have the archive and will be perfectly willing to send it to you, no questions asked.

Unfortunately, the decision to close the comms is not up for discussion or debate, but we apologize for any inconvenience it might cause.

Wrapping Up [Apr. 20th, 2008|07:52 pm]

All right, folks. We're coming to the last month, during which you're free to act out scenes and write journal entries to bring your characters to a comfortable point to say farewell to the Network. Bill is planning on taking down the communications aspect because of security measures (namely, that Lanette had wreaked so much havoc on it that it actually needs to be taken down to be repaired), and given the events of the Rocket plot, he's not certain as to if and when he'll put it back up. (An announcement about this will be made later.) In the meantime, your characters should prepare to move on.

Epilogue scenes will be done throughout this month until we're finally finished, with a closing date hopefully at the end of May.

Additionally, would anyone be interested in a "three years later" sort of thing where we do short scenes that will show what our characters will be doing three years from now as another epilogue?

Ladies and gentlemen, the stars are aligning properly.

In other words, it looks like it's going to get very busy for me very soon. Not quite as soon as I expected, but it's an 'any minute' kind of deal. As such, I'm going to wrap up this plot before I'm suddenly swept away in some form or fashion.

Therefore, I am aiming for either Friday or Saturday around 8 PMish. Time is negotiable depending on what people tell me. I will pick the day based on responses. If anyone wants to do any scenes prior to the finale, now is the time to do so. Otherwise, I will take liberties as necessary to string everything together.

At around midnight tonight, the Network crashed. As in, the communication lines went down, and the retrieval system seems oddly buggy. It will remain like this for the next few weeks.

Alright. I may be scarce the next two weeks, depending on how things go. Therefore, everyone is essentially free to romp about in the current situation.

I'd really like some folks to go hunting for the main base, now that Caesar's forces are being forced back. Though it is not IC knowledge to everyone, I'll make this clear OOCly:

Caesar's base is on the orange islands. More specifically, where the old Rocket prison used to be - before he sacked it and transformed it.

How folks find this out, is entirely up to the players. Capture troops, interrogate them. Do scouting. Whatever you would like to do. In fact, if anyone wants to try and infiltrate the base ones it's found to do further scouting, feel free.

I want to wrap this thing up in the next few weeks. The plot was, admittedly, never supposed to last more than a few weeks in the first place. I didn't want everyone getting bogged down roleplaying in a new war after just getting out of the previous one - that's one big reason.

I apologize for being sporadic. I've made some very sudden decisions, but my mind is a bit stretched right now.

If anybody needs me around to run things, like an infiltration or to roleplay NPCs, I can probably do so if asked. Just poke me and see what I'm up to if I'm on. If you feel you're being too aggressive, don't worry about it - I want people to be aggressive. Whoop up on Caesar's people. I'll roll with it just fine.

Also, if anybody has any questions about anything, including the Children of Lilith, feel free to shoot it my way.

OOC: TP Update [Mar. 29th, 2008|11:57 pm]

 Good evening! I'll make this quite quick and simple. The battle for Viridian is over as a loss for the Children of Lilith, but at the cost of the life of the league's president, Charles Goodshow. This move was suggested by Blackjack, and I applaud her for the idea. This has destablized the league in some sense, but it's not enough to make Caesar win the war.

In every city where he has tried to invade, his forces have been pushed back and fiercely resisted. The people of Kanto are tired of war, and they're not about to let another occupation just take place all willy nilly. The tide is starting to turn against the Children of Lilith. Suggestions and questions can be tossed at me. 

The next step, quite frankly, is for people to hunt for his base. =) If someone wishes to do so, they're more than welcome to.

My apologies.

Due to scheduling constraints on my part, I have decided to go ahead and handle the Viridian battle tonight (Saturday) with Ash and Wes.

So far, the battle for Kanto has been waging for about a week, and Caesar is finally marching on Viridian. My apologies go to all of those who could not attend, and for my scheduling being rather sporatic. I was trying to accomodate everyone, but neglected to realize that some days which were good for everyone were terrible for me.

In other words, if I don't do it tonight, it may be over a week before I can do it at all. Not good.

But fear not - everyone will get to be involved with things. =)

Hi kids!

I posted a comment to my earlier post, but just to make it clearer:

I was looking at Friday (yes, tomorrow) for the battle. With only Silver reporting in, I got the feeling that, perhaps, nobody was seeing my comment. XD Which is fine.

I had meant to aim for an 8 PM EST start time, but it can change/fluctuate as necessary. If this isn't good for folks (ie, nobody's on tomorrow!), we'll reschedule as needbe.
